Below is a video we’ve been working on for a couple months. We wanted it to be short and start the conversation, not end it. If you want to dig deeper into the claims of the video check out the sources, articles, and research here.

This should become an ad for television. People need to see this
Well done! Every person on the planet needs to watch this video on repeat for as long as it takes to truly sink in.
I love the realization that they make in the video that bringing awareness to something can’t solve the world’s problems. Then followed up by, “But solving the world’s problems can never be done without raising awareness.” So true! Come on guys get the word out and keep the momentum going with this conversation. So many opportunities to shine in the darkness.

As a “victim” on the other side of things … pornography objectifies women. Men who indulge in it lose their respect for women over time. The link between porn addicts and domestic abuse is very strong. Porn breaks trust in a relationship and destroys that relationship over time. You cannot watch porn and be a faithful partner.
Can you quote an actual study on the link between pornography and domestic abuse? As for the other portion…Porn only breaks trust if its secret, hidden and filled with shame. There are many happy couples who use pornography as inspiration or explanation with their partners.

Awesome video, here are some more porn facts that explain the scientific studies on pornography and why I think its so harmful.
http://healingfromgod.com/if-youve-ever-watched-porn-read-this/
Ridiculous. The argument that someone does porn because demand from the consumer is there doesn’t mean anything. Professional football players only play football because people want to watch it and will pay them to do so, Garbage men only chose the career because people keep creating waste. Stop watching sports and creating trash and you to can free these people from the careers that they have chosen…
Evan, what they’re saying is that not all women have chosen porn as a profession. They have been lied to, lured with false promises of love, or money, or escape from current abuse. Then they are forced to perform sexual acts in front of a camera for your pleasure, all with threats you know nothing about hanging over their heads. Smiles and orgasms can be equally faked. For every perky porn star claiming how much she loves her job, there are untold miserable girls and women who cannot escape this world, and you don’t know the difference. Do you really want to watch porn knowing that roughly half the time, it’s a woman who is in sexual slavery? Or is getting off more important than human trafficking?
and i guess i don’t understand the connection between human trafficking and porn. Is the argument that women who are being trafficked also do porn so we are extrapolating that to “all porn stars must be being held against there will” or is the argument metaphoric and we are saying “porn IS human trafficking” even though it isn’t?
Pornography is addictive (Here is a review of the literature http://fightthenewdrug.org/porn-is-addictive/#sthash.ajgYHrB8.dpbs). Like any addiction it clouds the mind and one’s ability to really think thinks through. What we see sinks in and weaves it’s way into our sexuality and thoughts at an unconscious level. As someone who has been trafficked and has many friends who are also survivors, that addiction is what inspired our buyers and caused them to never ask questions. No one ever asks “how old are you, do you want to be doing this.” Even if they did all of us have been threatened and brainwashed on some level to lie. This is an incredibly complex issue and the point is not “are porn stars trafficked” but rather that the exploitation of a woman, willing or not is perpetuating the problem and often times she is being trafficked and we are funding it by clicking, buying, and watching at the expense of her wellbeing physically, mentally, sexually, and spiritually. Porn is the foundation of human trafficking, it is where most if not all buyers of sex start.
Also, many will sign a contract and then the contract will be changed or she will be forced to do things beyond her contract and without her consent.
This is phenomenal and true. I’m sure you do, but in case you don’t, Fight The New Drug is an anti porn campaign dedicated to educating on the harsh realities of porn use on the body, brain, sexuality, and relationships as well. Thank you for making this, I was trafficked and everything was recorded. I am unsure of what my abusers did with that, but I can guarantee you that the viewer would never see the part where I was yanked by the hair and told to shut up or the same thing would happen to my little sister… You don’t see the gun off camera or the scene just moments before. Porn is just like Hollywood, cut and edited perfectly to please the viewer ignorant of the lies and deception behind it. It also inspires the viewer. All of my abusers were using porn. I am sure when they started they never dreamed of hurting a little elementary school girl. It takes over, and that is a fact no one can avoid.
Hey can you make a 15 second version so this could be promoted on instagram?
This is peoples lives we are talking about, the people see this the more awareness can be created. Porn wrecks lives and not just the people on the other side of the screen, but you who are watching it as-well. imagine the whole world stopped watching porn for a whole month, what would happen to the industry?. this is not sports we are talking about. it’s the lives of some innocent people that are being used to make money. let’s not keep quiet about this, and let our voices be heard. if porn was harmless why are people addicted to porn?. this is a serious issue. we are all equally made by a creator, in His image and likeness. what they are doing is the total opposite, they are devaluing peoples humanity. Don’t be conformed by this world. they are brainwashing people by letting them think watching porn is harmless. lets stand together and make a difference, by starting with yourself.
I found a good website on this matter
